The Academic Network of ALBANIA is the National Research and Education Network (NREN). Created 2009 with an intergovernmental Agreement through Albanian and Italy, and reorganized 2014 with National Agreement which includes the participation of the Ministry of Education, Sport and Youth and the membership of all public universities. We offer software services for MESY, her Agencies and public universities, research institutes, etc. some from RASH in House developed national SW platform are; U-Albania, Teacher for Albania, Training4all, ACRIS- research portal. RASH manage the Albanian Academic Network Backbone, and the universities Campus Networks for all public universities. RASH Network is part of GÉANT Network which is a fundamental element of Europe’s e-infrastructure, delivering the pan-European GÉANT network for scientific excellence, research, education and innovation. Through interconnections with its 38 national research and education network (NREN) partners, the GÉANT network is the largest and most advanced R&E network in the world, connecting over 50 million users at 10,000 institutions across Europe and supporting all scientific disciplines. The backbone network operates at speeds of up to 500Gbps and reaches over 100 national networks worldwide.
